PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY: AWARE’s Home Visitor/PAT Program Coordinator performs home visits to families utilizing the Parents as Teachers (PAT) curriculum and performs training, coaching and on-going support to a team of assigned staff. Weekly home visits to assist parents in becoming more effective educators of their children. Assure assigned team utilizes approved program curriculum, perform on-going observations of home visitors. Timely submittal of reports, datasheets and data entry, as well as participating on assigned community and state committees, arranging and coordinating monthly parent social meetings, tracking supplies, budget items, marketing of early childhood programs, recruiting of families, and other assigned tasks. Requires knowledge to operate computer software; as well as the ability to read and comprehend program materials, budgets, and training curriculum. Must maintain the strictest professional ethics concerning records and information.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to, under AWARE’s Unconditional Care Philosophy, implement individual support plans with the knowledge of behavioral techniques, interventions, and skill building techniques. Requires computer literacy skills, including the ability to navigate, record, and overall basic computer skills needed for performance-based software as well as an electronic medical records system. Must have the interpersonal oral and written communications skills to work as a team member, to make observations and to report them accurately, to learn resident care methods, and to follow oral and written instructions.
Education/Experience: Requires either (1) BA/BS degree in Early Childhood Education or (2) BA/BS degree in a related field and documented and evident direct employment related experience. Must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid Montana Driver’s License; as well as an acceptable driving record, criminal and protective services background check.
