AWARE Inc. Health Informatics Support Specialist (HISS) assists in acquiring, storing, retrieving and using healthcare information to foster better collaboration among services, providers and clients. Utilizes knowledge and expertise to research/resolve issues, provides collaboration, effective communication, coordination, end user support, new user training and assist with direction of internal teams, clients, and supervisors. Will assists in the maintenance, tracking, support, deployment, inventory, and testing of associated equipment and occasionally diagnose technical issues. The HISS may provide data analytics. The position’s responsibilities require independent analyses, communication, problem solving, as well as the ability to educate and train staff.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Requires demonstrated experience in IT customer support, healthcare information management and/or healthcare information technology. Intermediate experience working with Windows and PC based software products. Experience working in a deadline driven environment, handling multiple tasks. Good written and verbal communication skills, the ability to translate numbers into plain English while forming professional working relationships with a welcoming and helpful customer service approach. Travel required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics or related field is required along with three (3) years of direct employment experience. A Valid Montana Driver’s License and clean motor vehicle record required.
