PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY:
AWARE’s LCPC/LCSW will have responsibility of managing an outpatient caseload while assisting in providing coaching and clinical supervision for individuals who are served by AWARE. Provides supportive mental health services to individuals who are struggling with behavioral and emotional issues. Will provide assessments, program planning, skill-building activities, one-to-one therapeutic support, and therapy based on individualized treatment plans. Will be required to perform family therapy as necessary per individual needs. May make treatment recommendations, intervention suggestions, and performs as a member of an inter-disciplinary clinical team. The LCPC/LCSW must be licensed according to mental health center licensure rule.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Psychology — Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders. Therapy and Counseling — Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance. Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
Education/Experience: An advanced degree (MS, MA, PhD) in Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Requires one (1) year direct work experience and a current LCPC or LCSW License. As a condition of continued employment, AWARE’s Child and Family Clinician must maintain the specific professional license and/or professional certification as required by state, federal governing boards, and other such certification boards
