Project Associate – Accounts Receivable

Pay Rate: $11.50 - $12.50/hour

AWARE’s Project Associate – Accounts Receivable is an entry level position that will assist in the by performing a variety of calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain financial data for use in maintaining fiscal records. Files medical insurance claims (CMS-1500), electronically or on paper, for mental health and developmental disabilities services including Psychiatry, Outpatient Therapy, Autism Services, Case Management, and Group Home services.  Collects and analyzes data, prepares spreadsheets and reports, and maintains organized records to support audits.


Requires knowledge of basic accounting methods; as well as a working knowledge of office procedures and practices.  Must be proficient in MS Excel, 10-key experience, typing, spreadsheet, and word processing skills and the abilities to work accurately with details, to perform calculations, and to tabulate and record data accurately.  Also requires the abilities to work effectively with the public and corporate personnel and to maintain appropriate work habits, such as organizational skills, punctuality, responsiveness to supervision, and responsibility to job duties.


AA/AS Degree in a Business/Administration Related Field is required, along with a minimum of two (2) years of computer experience.  An equivalency may be considered if the work history is direct employment experience.

The successful applicant may be eligible to apply for a Tier II pay rate of $12.50/hour after six months of employment and completing a competency based exam in addition to supplying qualifying work history.
