Fiscal Project Associate – ECS – Butte/Billings/Helena

Pay Rate: $11.50 - $12.50/ Hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Location: Billings, Butte, Helena

The Project Associate coordinates a variety of fiscal management functions, preparing and reviewing budgets, purchase orders, and invoices.  Must have excellent skills in budget preparation, planning, grant accounting, contract fiscal management, administration, and investigation skills.



Thorough knowledge of budget preparation and planning, payroll/employee benefits, accounting methods and statistical procedures, working knowledge of office procedures and practices and of office machines.  Requires 10-key, typing, spreadsheet, and word processing skills. The abilities to work accurately with details, to perform calculations, and to tabulate and record data accurately.  Also requires the abilities to work effectively with the public and corporate personnel and to maintain appropriate work habits, such as organizational skills, punctuality, responsiveness to supervision, and responsibility to job duties.



AA/AS Degree in an accounting related field is required.  An equivalency may be considered if the work history is direct employment experience.  A minimum of two (2) years of financial, accounting, payroll, and/or computer experience is also required.


The successful applicant may be eligible to apply for a Tier II pay rate of $12.50/hour after six months of employment and in addition to supplying qualifying materials.
