Project Associate – Payroll

Pay Rate: $11.50 - $12.50/hour

Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm

AWARE’s Project Associate – Accounts Payable will assists in the AWARE Inc. payroll process, including the compilation of payroll information, data entry, wage computation and posting, reconciliation, payroll record maintenance, flex benefit maintenance, and report preparation.  Must complete job duties in a professional, accurate, and timely manner and in compliance with the direction set by the Business Operation Manager.


Thorough knowledge of employee payroll preparation and planning, accounting methods and statistical procedures is required as well as a working knowledge of payroll software and timekeeping systems, office procedures and practices and of office machines.  Requires 10-key, typing, spreadsheet, and word processing skills and the abilities to work accurately with details, to perform calculations, and to tabulate and record data accurately.  Also requires the abilities to work effectively with the public and corporate personnel and to maintain appropriate work habits, such as organizational skills, punctuality, responsiveness to supervision, and responsibility to job duties.


AA/AS Degree in a Business/Administration/ Accounting Related Field is required, along with a minimum of two (2) years of computer experience.  An equivalency may be considered if the work history is direct employment experience.

The successful applicant may be eligible to apply for a Tier II pay rate of $12.50/hour after six months of employment and completing a competency based exam in addition to supplying qualifying work history.
