Curriculum and Professional Development Specialist – EHS – Billings

Pay Rate: $17.00 - $18.25/Hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Varies

Location: Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Helena

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: AWARE’s Curriculum and Professional Development Specialist coordinates, plans, develops and monitors the assigned curriculum and ensures that instruction is aligned with grant standards, interpreting changes to the curriculum, and informing staff of needed changes. Guides service teams in evaluating the effectiveness of instructional methods and programs; helps to develop strategies for implementation and improvement.   Ensure consistency and equity of instruction across the district and offer reports and updates to assigned supervisors. Provides leadership, collaboration and coordination for curriculum implementation and partnership communications; including health, social services, parent involvement, education and related components; plan and provide educational information and staff development opportunities to meet the needs of staff, family child care providers, families, and children served.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Requires at least two (2) years of employment experience working in curriculum development and/or employment and training programs with a demonstrated knowledge of program planning, early childhood assessment and family systems. Requires computer literacy skills, including performance-based software, and electronic medical records system. Must have good interpersonal oral and written communications skills to work as a team member, observe and report, learn service methods, and an ability to form professional relationships with a diverse group of people.

Education/ Experience: Requires a BS/BA Degree in Early Curriculum Development, Education or a related field, in addition to direct employment related experience.
