Description:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the leadership and direction of the Early Childhood Service Director, AWARE’s Site Manager plans, organizes, and coordinates, the daily operations and activities of assigned grant programs. Provide leadership, collaboration and coordination for curriculum implementation; plan and provide educational information and staff development opportunities to meet the needs of staff, family child care providers, families, and children served.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Requires at least two (2) years of employment experience working with children aged 0 – 5 and families in an educational setting with a demonstrated knowledge of program planning, early childhood assessment and family systems.  Requires computer literacy skills, including the ability to navigate, record, and overall basic computer skills needed for performance-based software as well as an electronic medical records system.  The EHS Site Manager must have good interpersonal oral and written communications skills to work as a team member, to make observations and to report them accurately, to learn service methods, and to follow oral and written instructions and an ability to form professional relationships with a diverse group of people.

Education/ Experience: Requires an AA degree in Early Childhood Education, a BS/BA Degree preferred, in addition to direct employment related experience.
