PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY:
AWARE Inc. has a Teacher position available in Billings, who will, under the supervision and direction of the EHS Director and EHS Child Development Specialist, assist in guiding the implementation of a comprehensive child development program that meets the Head Start definition of curriculum in all program options and settings to assigned children six weeks through three years of age. Put into practice theories and sound principles of child and parent education in an environment in which children can develop personal relationships, experiment, make choices, solve problems, and develop age-appropriate social and self-help skills. Plan and participate in parent education and parent involvement activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
An AA/AS Degree in Early Childhood Education is required along with at least one year of direct employment related experience. An equivalency may be established if a CDA is present, along with an evident and documented direct employment experience.
