PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY:
A.W.A.R.E.’s LCPC/LCSW therapist provides supportive mental health services to individuals who are struggling with behavioral and emotional issues. Will manage an outpatient caseload. Will provide assessments, program planning, skill-building activities, one-to-one therapeutic support, and therapy based on individualized treatment plans. May make treatment recommendations, intervention suggestions, and performs as a member of an inter-disciplinary clinical team. Directly supervises consumers during recreational outings and social activities. Must be acting as an in-training practitioner according to mental health center licensure rule.
Psychology — Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
Therapy and Counseling — Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance.
Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
An advanced degree (MS, MA, PhD) in Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Requires one (1) year direct work experience, along with the willingness and ability to pursue licensure as an LCWS or LCPC, or any other such license as recognized and regulated in the State of Montana.
In addition – and as a condition of continued employment – AWARE’s Child and Family Therapist must maintain the specific professional license and/or professional certification as required by state, federal governing boards and other such certification boards.
