At AWARE, we have many people who served in the United States Armed Forces. In honor of Veteran’s Day on November 11, we would like to honor not only our employees but also everyone out there who has donned an American military uniform to protect our great country. Every day, we are grateful for your time. Thank you for your service.
Bob Wigdorski, Assistant Developmental Disability Service Director, is among the many Veterans who work at AWARE. He served more than 22 years in the Air Force. Bob started his military career in air transportation setting up airfield operations. Eventually, he became part of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations where he conducted criminal and counterintelligence investigations. Upon retirement, Bob also worked for the Defense Intelligence Agency.
“Being in the military taught me so much – leadership, teamwork and mission focus to name a few,” Bob said. “I got to see the world and do some very interesting things and would not change a thing about my time.”
