AWARE is pleased to announce the hiring of Francine Cooper (pictured) as the next chief financial officer (CFO) for the organization.
Geri Francisco-Wyant is retiring later this year, after devoting 29 years of service as AWARE’s CFO. AWARE is thankful for Geri’s service as CFO for so many years. Her dedication and commitment to the people we serve have defined her time with the organization, and we are better because of her. To aid the transition of leadership, Geri and Francine will work alongside one another until Geri’s departure.
Francine Cooper has already joined the team and is prepared to continue AWARE’s legacy and lead our financial office into the next era.
Francine was born and raised in Oklahoma. Her love for the mountains and outdoors drew her to Fort Collins, Colorado, where she attended Colorado State University (CSU). Francine graduated CSU in 2008 with a bachelor’s of science in business administration with a concentration in accounting.
She pursued a career in public accounting with a small public accounting firm in Fort Collins. Francine earned her certified public accounting licensure in 2012.
Upon her husband’s graduation from veterinary school in 2016, they moved to Three Forks, Montana. Francine continued her career in public accounting, specializing in nonprofit auditing and accounting services, and has more than 11 years of expertise in this industry.
On the weekends, you will most likely find Francine fishing or doing any other outdoor activities with her husband Casey and their dog Midge.
