That’s why we created the Emerging Leader Program—more than just a professional development course, it’s a journey of growth and discovery. Participants are encouraged to embrace their unique strengths while building the tools they need to lead with kindness, clarity, and purpose.
The program features three progressive series, each tailored to develop the skills supervisors need at every stage of their leadership journey:
Learning Supervisor Series (6 months)
This foundational series provides the building blocks of great leadership. From understanding emotional intelligence to offering meaningful feedback, participants learn how to nurture their teams and create a positive, collaborative environment.
Lead Supervisor Series (6 months to 1 year)
In this intermediate series, participants fine-tune their abilities in mentoring, decision-making, and resolving conflicts. They gain practical tools for inspiring their teams and cultivating an environment where everyone feels supported and valued.
Mentor Supervisor Series (6 months to 1 year)
For seasoned leaders, this advanced series delves into strategic thinking, innovative problem-solving, and guiding teams through change. Participants learn to think big, act boldly, and achieve meaningful outcomes—all while staying grounded in AWARE’s mission.

Throughout the program, participants are guided by observation specialists who provide constructive feedback and encouragement. Every achievement is celebrated, and completing each series opens the door to new opportunities, including potential promotions and pay increases.
