The judges loved Olivia's beautiful blue design and a message that says, "Some days are blue don't mean they can't be sunny!" The winning artwork will be highlighted on t-shirts, mugs and posters and available for purchase soon.
Soldiers To Receive Holiday Cards
Both adults and children in the Great Falls homes are keeping up with tradition this year by writing holiday cards to soldiers overseas. The idea was sparked by one of adults who loved writing them as a youth. He wanted to continue the eight-year tradition. This year, the card writers completed a record-breaking 280 cards for the soldiers.
Parade of Lights Opens Holiday Season with Cheer
AWARE entered a float into the Great Falls Parade of Lights, which was Nov. 26. The parade was an opportunity for staff and clients, alike, to have a little fun decorating the holiday-themed float. On the day of the event, everyone donned their best holiday hats and walked or rode on the float. The floaters chanted, “We Are Aware,” as they made their way up the street.
