It’s a phrase we are all familiar with. Yet, it now somehow carries more meaning and weight than it ever has before. We’ve all been struggling through a worldwide pandemic for nearly 455 days, and it’s been exhausting to say the least. More importantly though, we’ve all found ways to keep going, adapt, and maintain our connections to one another.
In a sense, we’ve all become someone’s hero. We’ve been encouraging, supportive, and patient along with so many other things. We’ve cared for ourselves, our family and friends, and still maintained enough energy to show up every day to help people live independent lives. It’s truly remarkable, awe-inspiring really, and we can’t thank you enough for your efforts.
Inspired by you, the Healthcare Heroes of an Era
We will be taking the next several months to feature employees who have gone above and beyond. They have risen to the challenge and continued to serve our mission despite the many challenges this past year has thrown our way.
Serena Polich is this month's Healthcare Hero
Serena has not slowed down this past year. She continuously pushed toward her dream of achieving a master’s degree in Social Work from Walla Walla University in Missoula. In the next few days, all of her efforts will come to fruition as she walks across the stage, graduates, and receives her diploma.
Your efforts have not gone unnoticed Serena. We are extremely grateful for your dedication and commitment to the kids at the Center for Excellence. You are a true Healthcare Hero!
