The month of September was one for the books, with outreach events across the state and many memories made!
One of our favorite outings in September took place on September 14th,. AWARE participated in the Out of the Darkness Walk and Resource Fair in Missoula. We shared our resources and information to the community and had a group of AWARE clients and staff who walked. It was a very special day that we were honored to be part of. See pictures here!

Clinical Leadership Summit:
We are excited to host our 3rd annual Clinical Leadership Summit. This year's summit, Treasured Healing: Trauma Informed Clinical Care, brings together clinicians and students studying in the field, and those who work alongside them. We will explore our natural and assigned roles as caregivers and leaders.
The goals are to build creative skills and harness resilience to work with individuals and families for the success of the person served and the provider of service.
The 2024 summit will feature three tracks—innovations across the field, trauma informed practices, and professional caregiver leadership. Throughout the summit, speakers will weave evidence supported practice models with true selfcare practices and leadership inspiration. Keynotes will drive exploration of use of self in our work and vital community connections.
Breakout sessions include speakers on challenging behavior, EMDR, professional development, and trauma healing work. Licensed mental health therapists can earn Continuing Education Credits, while educators have the opportunity to receive OPI renewal credits. The 2024 summit is set for October 16-17 at the Great Northern Hotel in Helena. This event hosted by AWARE and open to the public. Registration is OPEN!
