UCC Award Winners Named at Annual AWARE Banquet

Updated: Aug 3, 2022

AWARE held its annual Corporate Congress Awards Banquet on June 9, 2022, at the Big Horn Resort in Billings, Montana.

During the banquet, staff gathered to celebrate and recognize this year’s Employee of the Year, Independent Spirit, George Groesbeck and the 10 Unconditional Care (UCC) Principle Award winners.

The banquet also highlighted speakers including AWARE Board Chair Kristy McKay, keynote speaker William Henry and AWARE Clinical Director Traci Shinabarger. AWARE CEO Matt Bugni and COO Leighann Knight acted as the emcees.

The lively event with a red carpet theme left the banquet attendees with a few laughs and a lot of inspiration. You can watch the replay of the video on AWARE’s Facebook page here: https://fb.watch/dYxhNepcj8/.

And the award winners are…

Being recognized as an award winner who exemplifies AWARE UCC Principles does not come lightly. Our staff truly does perform some amazing work every day. We are grateful for their efforts that go above and beyond to ensure the people we care for live independent lives.

Following tradition for this 2022 event, the 13 award winners were nominated by their peers. Hundreds of nominations were narrowed down to name the 2022 award winners.

The process to choose the winners begins months in advance, with an evaluation of the award program, a month’s worth of nomination reminders and a committee to choose the final 13.

The day of the award banquet, AWARE leadership presented the awards to the following people:

𝗝𝗲𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗞𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗺 - Employee of the Year Award

𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗵 - George Groesbeck Award

AWARE is already in the process of planning next year’s UCC Principle award presentations. In 2023, the awards presentation banquet will accompany Corporate Congress. It’s an event that our frontline staff participates in every two years to help develop the services AWARE provides.

Once again, congratulations to all of our UCC Award winners. We thank you – and all of our team – for all you do!
